Choosing natural dog treats is easier when you start with what you want the treat to do: reward a training success, offer an occasional snack or provide supervised chewing. Then compare the ingredients, size and feeding guidance for your dog.
This guide uses examples from our Natural Dog Treats collection to help you compare options. Each product page shows the available sizes or packs and its individual feeding information.
Start with the Ingredient List
“Natural” covers a wide range of treats. Some contain one animal ingredient, while others combine several ingredients. Check the full recipe for the exact flavour you are buying, especially if your dog avoids particular proteins.
Single-ingredient and single-protein are not interchangeable descriptions: a recipe may use one animal protein alongside other ingredients. A named flavour is also not a guarantee that no other protein is present. The ingredient list gives you a better basis for comparison.
Compare Four Treats from Our Range
| Treat | Listed ingredients | Options to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Ostrich Tender Meat Stick | 100% ostrich | A meat stick that can be portioned into small rewards. |
| Large Pig Ear | 100% pig ear | Single or 10 Pack. |
| Rabbit Ears With Fur | 100% rabbit ears with fur | Single, 5 Pack, 200g, 500g or 1kg. |
| Beef Pizzle Chew | 100% beef pizzle | 12–14cm or 20cm. |
Use the product page and packaging to check the option you select. Pack availability can change. Treats are complementary feeds and should be offered alongside your dog’s normal diet.
For Training: Choose Rewards You Can Portion
Training rewards should be easy to give in small pieces so you can reward promptly and account for repeated treats. Our Ostrich Tender Meat Stick is one option designed for portioning. Select a piece size your dog can comfortably manage and follow the product’s feeding instructions.
For a young dog, begin with our puppy-friendly range and check each product’s minimum-age guidance. Puppy suitability varies between treats; it should not be assumed from a collection name alone.
For Chewing: Compare Size and Texture
A chew should suit how your dog eats as well as their size. Watch whether they chew gradually, break off large pieces or try to swallow the end. Choose an appropriate size, supervise the session and remove pieces that become unsafe to manage.
Our beef pizzle chews offer two length options, while large pig ears provide a different natural chew format. These are examples to compare, not a promise that either is suitable for every dog or will last a fixed time.

Loose Treats, Small Packs or Larger Bags?
Individual treats can be useful when trying a product for the first time. Once you know which option your dog enjoys, compare the available packs and how quickly you will use them. Keep treats sealed and follow the storage and best-before information on the packaging.
For example, rabbit ears with fur are offered individually, in a five-pack and in weight-based bags. large pig ears have single and ten-pack options. Browse loose natural treats or packed dog treats to compare other choices.
Choosing Around Particular Protein Requirements
If your dog avoids an ingredient, check every ingredient in the selected recipe. Our novel-protein treats include less common options, but a protein is only new to a particular dog if they have not eaten it before. Alternative proteins do not automatically make a product suitable for every sensitivity.
If your dog follows a vet-directed diet, check that any treats fit that plan before adding them.
